The name RI CE is inspired by ‘chi-chi dango’ a Japanese rice cake.

During my Grandmother’s lifetime it was a gift she made for me often.

With each visit, I grew to expect them

and found comfort in this familiar repetition.

These paintings made in repetition are my gift to you.
